John Adams is a painter who uses nature as inspiration to explore vivid color harmonies. He works from a home studio along the shores of Hood Canal and his mountain cabin in the North Cascades.
His award-winning paintings have been featured in over 50 juried exhibitions in the Pacific Northwest and Nationally since 1985. John currently teaches weekly watercolor classes in Port Townsend and on Bainbridge Island, along with exhibiting his work in regional galleries and juried shows. He has been a full member of the artist cooperative Front Street Gallery in Poulsbo, WA. since 2014.
A signature member of both the National and Northwest Watercolor Societies, John received an AAS in Graphic Design and Illustration from Seattle Central College and a BA in Fine Art from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida.
My classes always include a 1/2 hour or longer demonstration
followed by painting time and individual instruction.
